Mehar Baba Charitable Trust, Bassi Pathana, Punjab, India has been selected by Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI)

PROJECT LOCATION: 50+ village clusters of District Fatehgarh Sahib, State: Punjab

PROJECT AIM: The project aims to create an enabling environment for women and girls from 50+village clusters in the Fatehgarh Sahib district and focus on supporting marginalized and vulnerable populations, to address their concerns around menstrual hygiene management and nutrition and improve their overall health and quality of life.

This project is to cover 50+ village clusters in the district of Fatehgarh Sahib and will have a significant positive impact on the physical, emotional, and social well-being of over 3,500 adolescent girls, women and men/boys.

1,500+ women/girls and over 2,000+ students and teachers from more than 15 schools will be empowered to promote awareness on menstrual hygiene practices and overall well- being.

100+ women will be selected for advanced training to receive further in-depth training on self-care and mindfulness in relation to menstrual health and hygiene.

A customized curriculum in the local language that focuses on MHM, nutrition, and mental well-being will be developed with an aim to create long term impact within the communities.
